About UsScreenFreaks.com was established to fulfill the needs of screenplay writers, actors, directors, and just about anyone seeking funding, distribution or representation. It is also designed to help investors, agents, distributors and producers find the perfect project they would be willing to invest their time and/or resources into. After experiencing the trials and tribulations of financing film and
television productions from outside investors, it seemed to always boil
down to the point of trying to have the investor see our vision as clearly as
we did, not always an easy task. Then one day a representative of an investor,
after an hour of desperately trying to figure out how he was going to
present the passion and vision we felt for our project to his superiors,
asked if there was some way we could help him, help us. He appreciated
the fact we had a well-prepared business plan to offer, but no matter
what, he said, business plans always seemed so templatish and boring. My business partner meekly offered
that we could make a pitch video and give him the link. He loved the idea and asked how soon we could send him the link. Just a few days, I offered, not knowing any better. Within a couple of weeks we had built a small green-screen, acquired an HD camera, and found someone who could edit it all together. And quite accidentally, through all of this, ScreenFreaks.com was born.
